ACO Q-Brake Vortex Flow Control System
ACO Q-Brake Vortex is a horizontal vortex flow control designed to prevent down stream flooding by controlling the release of storm water before it discharges into the watercourse or sewer.
Designed to regulate storm water flows from 2 -100 litres per second.
ACO Q-Brake Vortex provides superior hydraulic performance. It allows more flow at lower heads, reducing the need for on-site storage volume requirements and lowering installation costs.
The self-activating system has large clear openings making it less prone to blockage. The absence of any loose parts also reduces maintenance requirements. Remote access to drain the system is provided by the patented bypass door and emergency drain down.
Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel, each ACO Q-Brake Vortex is individually configured to suit specific performance criteria and the profile of the chamber.
Orifice plates available for where flow controls are not suitable or for flows greater than 100l/s
