Clearwater Alpha Septic Tank – 4,600 litre
A septic tank consists of a single chamber system that retains sewage from a property for sufficient time to allow the solids to form into sludge at the base of the tank, where it is partially broken down through anaerobic digestion. The remaining liquid in the tank then overflows from the tank by means of an outlet pipe to a drainage field.
Alpha tanks can provide a reliable and economic solution for homes not connected to mains drainage. They can be installed, subject to the relevant consent, in the following applications:
- Where soil is of a suitable porosity
- Installation complies with Building Regulations (Approved Document H)
- The installation will not contaminate any ditch, stream or other watercourse.
